A SUPERIOR PROBIOTIC
Out of the many probiotics that are known, the rod-shaped Bacillus coagulans is a harmless bacterium member of the normal microbial ecosystem in the intestinal tract. It seems to play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and diversity of the gut microbiome. Also, Bacillus coagulans has a unique property of producing spores during its life cycle, not found in any other lactic acid-producing bacteria.
LactoSpore® is one such probiotic from Bacillus coagulans MTCC 5856, being a spore forming bacteria, stable during processing, packaging, and storage. The product is standardized to provide a maximum number of active spores to help in proper colonization of the bacteria inside the human intestine.
A PERFECTED PROCESS
Bacillus coagulans spore preparation (LactoSpore®) involves three steps: (1) Inoculum preparation, (2) Fermentation, and (3) Downstream processing.
In the first step, pure culture of B coagulans is incubated on a shaker at 37-39°C for up to 24 hours. The seed culture is transferred to a fermenter for incubation to later be harvested and further processed. In the downstream processing step, the broth harvest is centrifuged and bacterial cells are separated. The resulting product is mixed with sterilized Demineralized water and filtered. Once filtered, it is spray dried and concentrated to the final concentration of B. coagulans spores. This manufacturing procedure assures a consistent and high-quality product.
HEALTHY SKIN FROM WITHIN
LactoSpore® is clinically validated for its health benefits in human subjects. A growing body of evidence has suggested that certain dietary changes can influence the skin health and appearance considerably.
Acne
Studies conducted in Italy, Russia and Korea have showed participants who used probiotics of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium genera as a part of food or supplements in conjunction with standard acne treatments experienced better acne clearance rate and better tolerance of acne treatment with antibiotics (Parodi et al., 2008; Volkova et al., 2001)
Probiotics supplementation to pregnant women (2–4 weeks before giving birth), and post-delivery, if they were breast-feeding or as an infant formula for at least six months, revealed that babies with strong family histories of the itchy skin condition were having decreased incidence of eczema until at least age 2, and possibly longer (Wickens et al., 2008).
It has been understood that as good bacteria helps eliminate the toxins and free radicals from the gut that can damage skin and cause early signs of aging, consumption of probiotics will not only flush out bodily toxins, but repair the harmful damage caused by free radicals, as well—and hence, slow down the visible proof of wrinkles.
